The Different Features Of Alarm Clocks

Alarm clocks have become a permanent fixture in many people's bedrooms. Such clocks are designed to make a piercing sound at a specific time. This is used to wake someone up. These clocks are useful for everyone including students who just can't get enough sleep to after hour workers. It is very easy to fall asleep and not wake back up. Many people do this which results in them being late in the morning. While the sound can be extremely annoying they are also very beneficial. The alarm has many benefits including waking you up at that specific time in the morning.

Yeah, everybody knows that alarm clocks can become very aggravating. The noise is meant to do this. In fact, the noise is supposed to jumpstart your day just like a car gets its battery jumpstarted. Of course, the noise can be stopped at anytime usually when the person pushes a button the clock. There are also analog clocks that are equipped with a second hand. This hand sets the alarm. These older models are equipped with a bell at the top which rings like crazy similar to older phone models. More modern battery powered models will make many different noises including beeps, crying, singing including the radio and CDs. Those with the radio feature will play the music being played on the radio of the radio disc jockey.

The older clocks are a little different. They have a spring which is connected to a gear propelling a clack which jumps from side to side. The electric version is much different. When the specific time comes up the electric clock will emit a noise using a powered magnetic circuit board and armatures twists the route on and off repeatedly. The more modern digital style clocks will wake you up much easier. Instead of a buzzing tone you can be woken up by specific music on the radio or on a specific CD. You can also be woken up by the news being told by the radio disc jockey.

Another great feature which almost all alarm clocks are equipped with is the snooze button. This button can be pressed whenever the alarm is going off. Once pressed, the alarm will halt for ten to five minutes. After five or ten minutes are up the alarm will come back on again. Of course, you can press the button as many times as you wish. This allows you to get a few more minutes of sleep if needed.

Many alarm clocks are also equipped with a nap button. The nap button is set whenever the radio is on. It will automatically turn the radio off after a certain period of time usually an hour or so. This is must like the sleep function on televisions. Those who like to listen to the radio whenever they go to bed would get be wise to take advantage of this great feature.
